Random Poem:

Do I?
Macbear73

You filled my world when I was too small to know anything
 1
I ran to you when you came home
 2
I smelled your pillow when you were not there
 3
because I missed you
 4
I lived to be hugged by you
 5
all I wanted was to please you
 6
And I did
 7

As I grew bigger
 8
I felt your discomfort when I hugged you
 9
and I didn't know why
 10
were you embarrassed to love your son?
 11
was it unmanly to show that you cared?
 12
all I wanted was to please you
 13
and, sometimes, I did
 14

Then I grew to adulthood
 15
you could hardly touch me without embarrassment
 16
and I didn't know why
 17
a brisk handshake was all I got from you
 18
a mumbled 'take care son'
 19
all I wanted was to please you
 20
and, rarely, I did
 21

Now we hardly talk at all
 22
communication seems almost impossible
 23
I still don't know why
 24
you cannot tell me that you love me
 25
even now
 26
All I want is to please you
 27
Do I?
