HandsomeHerb

Keenly aware

every building and rock

has an ulterior motive,

she spends her nights
 4
seducing death.
 5
The lips on the ceiling do not move,
 6
but the ventriloquist hovering above
 7
challenges her
 8
to one more staring contest.
 9
And she accepts,
 10
for she has become
 11
the champion
 12
of staring at the ceiling.
